Steve Miller is original owner of the '67 Camero below
"I am the original owner. Ordered it in Sept 1966 and took delivery in Oct 1966. The chassis has about 680,000 miles as I used it to commute to College and work for nearly 42 years. It currently has a 454 out to 461, Turbo 400 truck trans, 12 bolt. Has run 13's @108 with 2.56 rear gears (for economy) Ha! with all the driving I did. Highway mileage was best of 21 MPG. It is one of only a few non Super Sport cars with the disc brake option (one of 52) and a fold down rear seat, also a rare option in those days. Cost was $3,135 in 1966.
It had a 327 275 HP and 4 speed and 3.55 gears when new and after 175,000 and the gas crisis, I installed a 194 inline 6, and wide ratio 4 speed and then a turbo 350 and 2.73 gears and ran that engine for nearly 300,000 miles (almost 20 years) . A 1973 454 has been in it since 1991 with various transmissions and rear ends. It had over 150,000 miles on it before I freshened up in 2005."

"Only the body from the cowl back is original. The rest is full tube chassis build by Theo Dec of Wizard Racing with lots of Chris Alston parts. Engine by California Street Machines - BDS 871Blower, FAST EFI, Dart 421 small block with Brodix heads. Powerglide. Tuned and blower drive set for Super Pro 9.40's at 142 mph. Potential for 7.90's at 179 mph but I've never pushed it that hard. Chassis only certs to 8.50 because I like the passenger seat."

I have posted thumbnail photos of cars from the old web site. More will be posted. If you want to use one or more of these as your member photos, you need to contact the web master at the email in the contacts page. Tell me the make, year and a sentence about the car, and tell me how you want your name listed. These will be here until the end of November, at which time they will be deleted. As I get your info on what you want to say about your car, I will put up the full size photo with the text.
